New Mexico Game and Fish Department has made some significant changes to the New Mexico mountain lion hunting seasons. It went from Oct. 1st through March 31st one bag limit to year-round and a two bag limit. This is good news for the hunters and bad news for the lions!
Now it's time to start scouting for the upcoming 2012 New Mexico big game hunting season that is coming upon us fast. I can’t believe it’s already that time of year!
New Mexico shed hunting this past March was one of the best so far. Me and my son, Drew, and a couple of good friends/guides, Tom Holder & Greg Tapia, picked up over 70 elk sheds. 90% of them were brown and several were matching sets.
